Book blurb
A boy who hears the past. A being from the future that already knows what comes next.
At twelve, Arvist can hear the buried past of anyone and anything he touches. But when an ancient codex draws him into Etherian—a world bound by covenants older than its kingdoms —he is forced through riddles and trials that begin to reveal a truth hidden from him all his life: he was born with a mandate he does not understand.
From a collapsed future comes the Chronomantian, created with a mandate it cannot disobey. It has been sent backward to claim the wisdom humanity accumulated across thousands of years—the one thing its dying world believes can save it. Armed with knowledge of what is yet to come, it can anticipate almost every choice made against it.
But wisdom is not knowledge. It cannot simply be taken.
As their paths converge, Arvist must discover whether the destiny he inherited is truly his to carry, while the Chronomantian begins to confront a question it was never designed to ask: must a mandate always be obeyed?
One is learning what it means to inherit a destiny. The other is beginning to question what it means to obey one.
And between them lies the one place neither mandate can fully predict: the present.

AGALIN: The Chronomandate
By Suchart S. Otaivites
What happens when the person you were, the person you are, and the person you might become all demand a say in your life?
For Suchart S. Otaivites, this question became the starting point for AGALIN: The Chronomandate, a work born from a personal reflection on time, identity, and the direction of one's life.
Caught between the influence of the past and the expectations of the future, Suchart imagined three versions of himself coming together in a debate: the person he had been, the person he might become, and the person living in the present. Each represented a different perspective on the choices before him.
Out of that imagined conversation emerged the word AGALIN, meaning “Timeless,” and the first idea that would shape the series.
But the meaning of timelessness extends beyond the story itself.
After a career as an executive, business owner, and consultant, Suchart found himself embracing a different ambition: becoming a writer, something he had wanted to do since childhood. He began to recognize that the past did not have to dictate what he could do in the present, just as uncertainty about the future did not have to determine what he was willing to attempt.
AGALIN: The Chronomandate emerges from that reflection. It explores the tension between who we have been, who we hope to become, and the choices available to us now.
Because perhaps the most important question is not whether we have started too late or whether the future will reward our efforts. Perhaps it is whether we are willing to choose what matters to us today.
For Suchart, that choice was to write, to create, and to embrace a new chapter of life on his own terms.
The past may shape us, and the future may call to us, but neither has to make the final decision about who we become.
